Refund policy

Return Instructions:

At Compost Companions, we want to ensure you're satisfied with your purchase. If you need to make a return, here's how:

1. 14-Day Return Policy:

You have 14 days after receiving your items to request a return. We offer this period due to the high demand for our compostable mailers. To help you decide on your purchases, we provide free samples before your purchase. Please note, we only offer one set of three free samples per customer and all sales of our Free Samples are final. If you have any concerns or questions, contact us at customerservice@compostcompanions.com. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 

2. Self-Service Return Process:

We have a self-service return process. Returning your items is easy and always 100% free. For Custom Mailers, all sales are final unless the products are damaged upon arrival. If damaged, report it immediately, and our customer service team will make it right. 

3. How to Return:

  • Follow these steps:
    • Login to our website.
    • Go to your orders.
    • Click on "return order."
    • Follow the steps to print a return label.

4. Return Shipping:

When returning items, please note that Compost Companions covers return shipping costs. A prepaid return label will be provided. Please ensure that the printed return label is securely attached to the outside of the package. This helps our team identify and process your return more efficiently. If you encounter any issues or have questions about attaching the label, contact us at customerservice@compostcompanions.com.

5. Inspection Process:

Upon receiving your returned items, our team will conduct a thorough inspection to ensure the returned items meet the conditions outlined in our return policy. We will then proceed with processing your refund. If there are any concerns or discrepancies, we will reach out to you promptly. 

6. Damages and Issues:

Inspect your order upon receipt. If it's defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately at customerservice@compostcompanions.com so we can address the issue promptly.

7. Exceptions/Non-Returnable Items:

Custom Mailers are non-returnable unless damaged. Report issues immediately to customize@compostcompanions.com. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on final sale items or gift cards. Please note, we only offer one set of three free samples per customer and all sales of our Free Samples are final. 

8. Exchanges:

The fastest way to make an exchange is to return the item and make a new purchase once the return is accepted.

9. Refunds:

We'll notify you upon receiving and inspecting your return. Approved refunds will be processed within 2-10 business days. If more than 15 business days pass after approval, contact us at customerservice@compostcompanions.com.
